The purpose of life can be seen as a journey to grow personally and spiritually, explore and learn, and seek happiness and fulfillment. This perspective aligns with ancient philosophies like Aristotle’s concept of eudaimonia. The “Golden Mean,” another Aristotelian idea, suggests that eudaimonia is found in the balance between extremes—for example, mindfulness is the balance between happiness and depression.

1. Practice Mindfulness
Mindfulness encourages living in the present moment without judgment. By focusing on your current experience rather than ruminating on the past (which can lead to depression) or overly anticipating the future (which can destabilize happiness), you can maintain balance.
• How to Practice: Try daily meditation or mindful breathing exercises. Even a 5-minute practice can help regulate your emotions.
Hack: “Popping both ears out” removes internal and external noise, much like how we “clear” our ears to improve hearing.
• Benefits: Reduces stress and builds awareness of emotional patterns.
